Lyrics

I am lost driving home from the place I always go, I am giddy like a dare breathing recycled car vent air.
My periphery is honed like the house creaked and I’m home alone.
But I’m not alone, the mystery’s you held just outside my right eye’s view.

Towards the slightly blobbing blurr my mouth tries to toss some words.
So my brain sends down my spine syllable signals in a line.
But by the time they reach my tongue they’re out of order or in one big clump, like third graders on a recess sprint and I just can’t haul them in.

I throw daggers towards my essence for my less than perfect presence. All the things I wish I were - I want you to see that girl.

After years of shoulders forward my back is straight as a board because your height is one big bribe - I can’t slouch and see your eyes.
I can’t remember every feeling my head hitting love’s glass ceiling since you kissed me hello - I’ve got only down to go -
or new heights to know.
